Katana Lace and Scarpa Vapour arrive!
The new La Sportiva Katana Lace - £109.99
As mentioned in the header of the shop site by Gaz, the much anticipated La Sportiva Katana Lace has arrived. The original velcro Katana has always been a popular shoe, famed for its precise and sensitive feel. The lace up version adds a greater degree of precision and fit. It still features the low volume toe box and the awesome heel ridge – previously only the Muira came near to the performance of this on marginal heel hooks.
Scarpa have also brought out a very promising new shoe which closely matches the design brief of the Katana, albeit at a lower price range (£89.99 and £91.99). If you have ever been a fan of the Katana make sure you try out the new Vapour, which is available in both velcro and lace up design. Llanberis shop manager Jack Rattenbury has been using a pair of the velcro Vapours over the last few weeks and had the following to say:
“I’ve always been a La Sportiva person, but these new Scarpa shoes have really turned my head. I’m made up with them and the Vibram XS grip 2 rubber feels really sticky.”
Both the velcro and lace up version (which comes with the Vibram XS Edge rubber) are in stock now.
